My trading DOM keeps disappearing and I'm not sure how to fix it and I've looked through the support board but couldn't find anything that helps.

I have the "Always on Top" and "Window Always Visible" but if I minimize the DOM it goes away and I can't find it at all. There's no minimized tab to be found. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Wade

Came here to ask the same question as I have much the same problem. In my case I want to do some replay trading and the DOM window always vanishes as soon as I select a chart, and I have to get it from the CW menu. Always Visible seems to make no difference. Always On Top works, but then dialog boxes appear underneath the DOM which is obviously not good (I want my DOM in the middle of my screen).

How can we get the DOM to actually remain always visible?

For the Trading DOM window, the Windows Operating System will place an icon in the Taskbar where your other Sierra Chart icons are.

Depending on how you have your Windows Taskbar setup, the icons may be separate or they may be bundled together by program. Therefore, it sounds like you have them bundled, so you will need to click on the Sierra Chart icon to access that particular window.

Ugh that's awful. What is the purpose of the "remain always visible" option then if it's not able to do what it says? Seems like the DOM is not functionally usable then which is really unfortunate.

At this time my only workaround to this is to detach all my charts from the main window, then align everything how I want it to be. This works but of course now I don't have the benefit of my other chartbook groups, and I also have to align the control bar separately. It's far from optimal. =(

J4ytr4der,

Found the solution. Open a new DOM then immediately go to Chart on the DOM (upper left) and click it. Then look for attach/detach chart window and click on it. Voila! After that it no longer will disappear and you can duplicate it just like a chart. Hope that helps.

Thank you. I can at least keep the DOM visible. Problem is, all the controls at the top are gone!

What controls are you referring to?
