when I left click ask above last price (set to Sell Limit in Chart DOM Settings) trade is opened and closed instantly and I receive the following error message...

Trade Order Error: Parent price (176925.000000) is more than 25% different than original Attached order price (1773.500000). Attached Order not modified. Internal order ID: 1705 | 2013-12-13 10:41:31

not sure what I've done - help!

SC, please confirm...

I think I solved my issue. When I rolled to ES March from December, the Real Time Price Multiplier in Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings 2 changed to 1. When I changed this level to 0.01 everything seems to work properly. I am using 2 instances of SC, one for IQFeed and the other for AMP/TTNet.

Yes, we did know this has to do with the multipliers.

We just needed to think through this. We also were not sure how you had Global Settings >> General Settings >> Use Non-Chart Data From Remote Instances set.

should Use Non-Chart Data From Remote Instances be checked or not checked? I'm not sure what you meant by your second sentence above.

I'm assuming it should not be checked in the AMP/TTNet instance of SC.

Use Non-Chart Data From Remote Instances should be enabled in the AMP/TTNet instance .

when I enable "Use Non Chart..." in AMP/TTNet instance I have the original problem in this thread. Trades are instantly opened and then closed.

please reply with all the necessary settings for each instance of SC with respect to "Real Time Price Multipliers" and "Use Non Chart Data..."

We apologize for this. This process gets to be quite tricky because there are so many factors involved because of the differing decimal point format between TT and IQ Feed.

This is what we meant when we said we need to think through this.

We will have to run a test, but we cannot get to this until Monday.

thank you, might be an idea to put the appropriate settings in the online documentation in the AMP/TTNet section and then refer people like me to that.

my goal is to initiate trades with attached orders from the chart, chart dom or trading dom and have them appear on all charts with the same symbol as well as the trading dom with same symbol.

when I enabled "Use Non-Chart..." everything was fine except the trading dom.

the best I came up with is to disable "Non-Chart..." and set "Real-Time Price Multiplier" in the AMP/TTNet instance to 0.01 for all charts and the trading dom.

this seems to work but if there is a reason why this is not a good setup please let me know.

thanks, from a vey happy customer!

The following setting is "likely" to solve the issue(SC version 1061):

- Realtime price multiplier - 0.01
- Historical price multiplier - 1
- Use Non-Chart Data from Remote Instances - "checked"

Thanks

ejtrader, thanks for the reply

Tried your suggestion above on Friday and everything was fine except the trade dom. I think SC is getting us all the proper settings to get chart trading, chartdom, tradedom and reports all working correctly.

but again - sincere thanks!

We did some testing and resolve this problem. We will have a new release out tomorrow.

What we found is that the issue only affects trade simulation. And not live trading.

We thought you were doing live trading and when we tested everything it worked fine as expected. This is why we were kind puzzled by the problem at first.

After the update, we also highly recommend using Use Non-Chart Data from Remote Instances . This is the recommended setting going forward.

thanks!

I have been using my wife's account and her IQFeed, AMP/TTNet setup in simulation mode, to get used to SC.

I assumed there was no difference between simulation and live, sorry for the confusion.

1. Are there other differences between simulation and live that I should know about before trading live with SC?

2. As well, the only instruments you do not currently offer that I would like before committing 100% to SC are the SP500 Cash (SPX.XO at DTN IQFeed) and NYSE Composite Volume (VI7T.Z at DTN IQFeed) which I assume is a calculated statistic at DTN IQFeed because this symbol provides different levels than the NYSE Website (http://www.nyse.com/about/listed/lcddata.html?ticker=NYA).
