Hi. I get historic daily data from VXV index from 2007, but intraday, I only get a few months back. I use SC as data provider. How can I get all intraday data for VXV? Should I just try with a different provider? Or is it a matter of the index itself? Thanks. |

Is this a stock symbol or index?

That is not the right symbol. Refer to the correct symbols here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChart_RealTime_And_Historical_Symbols.php&SymbolsPage=Indices Use $VIX And refer to: Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Downloading/Viewing More Historical Intraday Data Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Yeah, sorry, I meant three month index volatility $VXV. Are those the only solutions to the short range of intraday data? Because changing those settings does not change anything. Thanks. |

For that symbol, the data goes back to 2010-04-28. Follow the instructions here to get data back to that point in time: Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Downloading/Viewing More Historical Intraday Data You need to follow the instructions. You will be able to get data back to that point in time. If not, you are not following the instructions. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
