Why no realtime data for $VIX ?

I have been adding Market Indicators to my charts. Symbols like NVOL24-SP work fine, but when I created the same chart for symbol $VIX no realtime data. It loaded to 1401 Mountain time yesterday, but stopped at 0831 Mountain time today.
