Trying to connect Interactive brokers to sierra charts

Hi, I just signed up for the demo of Sierra Charts. I am trying to connect my IB account to Sierra charts, but no luck. I have attached a screen shot of the error. Thanks |

I am running parallel desktop on a mac. Does the open TWS need to be loaded into Parallels desktop in order for Sierra charts to work. Or can I have TWS open in my mac and Sierra open in Parallels? I have cked the settings multiple times and change the posts etc. without success. My only thought is having TWS in parallels?

Yes you can but you need to specify the IP address in the Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service Setting >>Server Address and Port setting of where TWS is running.Otherwise you do have to run TWS within Parallels.
