Am I able to set the Volume by Price Study so that it shows a separate profile for each period selected, across the visible chart? For example, If I can see 3 days on the visible chart, and have the chart set for day and evening sessions, Can I set the study to show a profile for each session on the 3 days that I am viewing? I am on subscription #3. Thanks

Yes, use the following settings for the volume by price study:

Volume Graph Period Type - Fixed by Time
Time Period Type for Fixed by Time - Days
Time Period Length for Fixed by Time - 1
Use Separate Profile for Evening Session - Yes

Hi I seem to be having the same issues as the first post. On daily chart with volume profile enabled, specifically with settings Highlight Value Area : Yes, Extend Value Area : Until Future Intersection, Value Area Percentage : 70. The issue I have is that these extended horizontal value area lines depicting the daily value area hi's and low's are incorrect. The lines representing the value area are simply horizontal lines equally spaced out. For example on my ZN H4 chart the value area lines for the last 4 sessions are @ 123 9/32, 123 14/32, 123 19/32, 123 24/32, 123 29/32, 124 2/32 etc ie equally spaced out at 10 ticks. The same pattern is repeated in other products. I have followed the instructions for the settings for volume profile but am I missing something? I can provide screenshots if necessary. Please help, thanks

Are you looking at an Intraday chart or a historical chart? (Take a look at the Chart Settings).

Thanks for your reply. Historical charts, but I'm sure my settings are correct. Getting same values when I switch to Intraday charts Any ideas? :)

I'm sure the SC team will be able to nail the problem much quicker than me but meanwhile it will help me if you could post images of 1. The Chart 2. The Chart settings 3. The Volume by Price settings.

1. Take a screenshot and save it on your pc.
2. Click Edit Attached Files (at the bottom)
3.Choose the Screenshot file and Upload it.
4.Click the Submit new Reply button (Don't close the file uploading window before submitting the reply).

First try to change the "Ticks Per Volume Bar" to 1. (It's the very first line on the study Settings window)

I did originally have it set to 1 but in the SC info on VBP it suggests setting this to between 5 and 10 for non intraday charts. I've changed it back to 1 and no joy

On the Chart Setting you have 5 for the "Volume at Price Multiplier". Change it to 1.
