Dear support, I see that the Bid & Ask Prices Study has a limitation: These Bid and Ask prices only update when there is a trade. Is there a study that save Bid and Ask prices when a bar closes? If it is not with a single study maybe with multiple studies or a spreadsheet. Thank You Date Time Of Last Edit: 2019-08-24 17:25:24

There are Data Recording Modes to include Bid and Ask updates which you can use. Refer to: Data Recording Modes Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. What is the difference between -ALL and -BID_ASK_TRADE_SYNC ? -BID_ASK_TRADE_SYNC seems to be more complete but I don't get in what way they are different Thank You Date Time Of Last Edit: 2019-08-26 14:43:42

Both of those recording modes are documented here: Data Recording Modes -BID_ASK_TRADE_SYNC is the one we recommend you use. And also make sure this option on Chart >> Chart Settings is enabled: Load Bid/Ask Update Only Intraday Records Refer to: Chart Settings: Load Bid/Ask Update Only Intraday Records (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data menu) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Dear support, I would like to have a tip about CPU optimization of SC: I have a chartbook with 15 charts , all on the same symbol. Please note that only one chart has recording modes -BID_ASK_TRADE_SYNC. I would like to know which setup is better: 1) 14 charts with the standard symbol and 1 chart with the -BID_ASK_TRADE_SYNC suffix 2) all charts symbols with the -BID_ASK_TRADE_SYNC suffix There are any difference performance between the above configurations about: a) Chartbook opening time? b) CPU load during the day (more important)? c) RAM usage? thanks in advance |

You really just have to go and do your own testing for this.

Do you have any tip about a third part software to measure CPU load and other performance stats?
