What is the best way to create a chart, that has no bars, but a line, but still shows the correct swing highs/lows. Right now I tried eg "range per bar (ticks)", renko, volume per bar, and all with "line at close". So of course the lines do not show always the real lows/highs of swings (as based on close). any suggestions? |

you mean the study? No that does not help, with "line at close" there is no correct low/high in the chart itself. so the zigzag would draw lines in between those wrong highs/lows. it is not about marking them. it is about having them in the chart at all. |

guess only way is to use a HighLow bar instead of the line.

It isn't possible without delay. I have more than 40 kinds of charts, each has some advantages / disadvantages ... otherwise it would be holy grail know for example the ultimate High High. That's why I wrote that ZigZag. I personally like the Reversal Chart for long-term SR levels. For your needs, it might be a good idea to recode to H / L rendering, where there would be one Bar delay, and H / L would be determined by the current bar direction.
