Unless you have saved your previous message log, that is. Presuming that Sierra does not overwrite saved logs upon version update. Go to Global Settings >> General Settings >> General 2 and Save Message Log to File. More info here: General Settings Window: Save Message Log to File (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Log >> Log) |

I have my log file which says version 9 but this number is odd since my current version is 1971.

Yes that is true, you could look at the main Message Log. We did not think about that. If you see version 9 that must be the installer log. Not the main Sierra Chart program Message Log.
