Just upgraded from 1941, and all of the previous historical data is gone. Only showing and collecting data since I started the new version. I imagine this has to do with the changes introduced in 1949. Is there any way to recover that old data?

Heads up in the changelog that this would happen would have been nice.

This most definitely is not a problem at all in the new version.

The data files are where they were previously unless you deleted them. Or the symbols of charts are different or Sierra Chart is set to use a different Data folder.

Good to know.

I did the following things:
I saved the workspace and closed the old SC version. I used the updater to get to 1953. I restarted SC with the very same workspace, and none of the historical B&A is shown on my chart. I did not touch the old .depth files, and they are, in fact, still there. And I most certainly have not changed the data folder configuration.

So tell me then, why is there no data if this is totally not a problem with your software even though I changed nothing, except for updating said software?

You are referring to using the study Bid and Ask Depth Bars. With the changes to the study, only newly recorded market depth data as of version 1949 will work.

You never mentioned in the first post you are referring to the data displayed by the Bid and Ask Depth Bars study. The only reasonable interpretation was you are referring to standard historical bar data within charts.
