Having to update symbol settings on every SC update

The last couple of times I've updated the software it's resetting the symbol settings that I have set back to default. I have them set to use commissions, record market depth, etc. Each time I've had to go back and re-enter these settings. Now the market depth doesn't appear to be recording. Is there a way around this so that I don't have to do this every time I update to a newer version? Why is the market depth not recording? I went in and put the setting to record to 'yes'. Do I have to restart the program or something? It would be much better if these settings did not have to be re-entered on every update. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2019-07-22 13:07:45

In newer versions of Sierra Chart this kind of problem is no longer an issue. What you experienced, when updating to 1953 is a one-time issue and is explained here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Whats_New.php#SCVer1953 The settings are preserved. You just need to copy the settings that you need as explained in the notes for 1953.
