Hello SC

I want to see the Cumulative Daily Volume every 30 minutes on a 6 tick range chart. I want to see the number underneath my chart via the "numbers bars calculated values" study. I have been trying to do it like this.

1) 30 minute chart that has the "numbers bars calculated values" study with the subgraph "Cumulative Volume - Day" which shows the volume under each 30 minute candle.

2) 6 tick range chart with a study overlay study to pull the "numbers bars calculated values" study.

The problem is when I add the overlay study it forces the 30 minute chart into a 6 tick range chart. If I try to change it back to 30 minute chart it immediately reverts to a 6 tick. Only when I remove the overlay study am I able to get it back to a 30 minute chart.

Is it possible to do this this way or is there another way?

Regards

Due to the fact that you are dealing with a Numeric Table in the Numbers Bars Calculated Values, you need to get the value from a different source. To do this, add the study Study Subgraph Reference to the 30 minute chart and set that reference to the Cumulative Volume - Day subgraph of the Numbers Bars Calculated Values. Set the Study Subgraph Reference subgraph to how you want to display the data in the other chart, such as setting the Draw Style to Value of Subgraph and the Width to 15 (if you want to see the information as numbers). You can go ahead and hide the Study Subgraph Reference.

Then on the 6 tick chart, use the Study/Price Overlay to get the data from the Study/Subgraph Reference. If you only want to see the data where it would fall on the 30 minute marks, then set the input for Fill Blanks with Last Value to No.
