I read the new release 1949 and I wish to know if these two new functions will be available to Transact Sierra user too:

1)Added support for millisecond time stamping for market depth data.

2)The calculations necessary for the Bid and Ask Depth Bars study is now done at a low level.

thx for reply

3) Also will trading be supported for Transact/Infinity users?

1. It looks like not because Transact does not provide millisecond level detail in their price packet.

2. Yes.

3. This is currently supported. But Transact may have it disabled on their side for the websocket connection.

As Transact user I tried to downloads 1949 version but the system cannot log on, it's showing a window and then going to a web page so I did roll back to 1941 that is working fine and it is stable.
Please advice when the new release will be available for Transact users.
thx

You will need to use the Sierra Chart/ Denali Exchange Data Feed for this:

Please advice when the new release will be available for Transact users.
We do not know at this point. This is up to Transact. However, follow through the instructions here to make sure the settings are correct:

We have contacted Transact about this to find out what the status is of this websocket connection. For now just stay on an earlier release which would need to be 1941.

For us using the test server, it is fully functional.

Until the market is open, any assessment is not yet complete. Waiting until LIVE trading Sunday night to confirm if ALL issues have been solved.

User657944,

Are you able to launch a working NEW INSTANCE from 1953?

I kept getting errors saying my password wasn't correct, or something like that.

What is the exact error message you are getting? We ran a test and do not see a problem. We need to look into this.

We are not seeing a problem like that. Make sure the main instance, and the sub instance are both version 1953.

That was the problem. Looks like you updated the DTC version on 1953. '

So I'll be stuck on v1941 (with working old TA bridge) for awhile then.

The problem is not related to the DTC version. The only DTC change is that the client and server support a new message type for millisecond timestamp support for market depth data. However, differing Sierra Chart versions are still fully compatible with each other.

There were just some low level changes with username management for Transact users and this is where we think the issue is. This relates to some security enhancements.

Live trading is definitely not supported with Transact over the websocket connection. Something critical like that, they are not going to release until they are sure it is stable and safe.

Any newer version to support the legacy TA bridge connection for trading in the interim?

No. That is definitely not going to come. We are not going to reverse the effort which removed that code from the program. But we did not realize Transact was going to be delayed with this either.

Understood.

Would you consider making v1941 fully compatible with versions 1953 and up, in respect to this change, for backward compatibility purposes?
