I'm finding when I use the market depth study and also set the chart to have a constant scale range and 're-center to last price' the depth highlights shift and change and not in a way that makes sense, for example, a significant order suddenly disappears and randomly comes back later and this has nothing to do with the actual depth changing. I've attached a photo of a historical part of the chart (so bids/offer can't change here) and you'll see from one moment to another the graphical pattern of bids offers is shifting on the Sierra display.
