Hi. Is it possible to use Divergence Detector study based on ZigZag study instead of Main Price Graph? I put ZigZag study on price and another on MACD and tried to use Divergence detector study to spot divergences referencing those two zigzag studies as it is much cleaner and I thought I would get fewer and better signals as opposed to div. detector based on just price and MACD. I just get too many signals that way. I tried different combinations and settings but no signals show up. Any thoughts on that? Thank you. |

It will not work to use the Divergence Detector with the Zig Zag Study as the Main Price Graph. This is due to the Divergence Detector using the High and Low of a bar in it's calculation. You will find the information for how these values are used in the calculation in the documentation here for the Divergence Detector: Divergence Detector It would be possible to use another study as the base, as long as that study has subgraphs for the Open, Close, High, and Low.
