Hi, I am looking to short the market on an up move and take some ticks at each level once it comes back down . As you can see on the screenshot attached, the left chart is what i would like to do >>> 3x short trades are taken at different levels when the market moves up...then when it comes back down the exit limit orders are placed for 3 ticks profits for each short that was taken. The blue line indicates what it would look like. BUT as you can see on the right chart Sierra exit fills it totally different and not at all what i would like to do. Could somebody tell me if there is an easy fix for that ? Thank you kevin |

LIFO /FIFO fill matching problem in REPLAY this is the issue covered in this forum link above. this is exactly the issue i have and it seems Sierra does offer the LIFO anymore... i did what was said by changing the charting setting but it's not working. Not sure is the NFA does not allow LIFO anyway so even if Sierra charts shows it as LIFO but on the live exchange it's not allowed to place LIFO orders then no point really but i am not 100 % if it is or if it is not possible to place LIFO orders on the exchange. If anybody has a work around or knows how to do place LIFO orders please let me know..for scalping it's a must in my opinion. cheers thanks |

Last In First Out order fill matching is supported in the very latest version of Sierra Chart. Just update to the latest version. The option is in the Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings 3. or if it is not possible to place LIFO orders on the exchange. This does not make any sense. An order is an order. Order fill matching has nothing to do with order submission. How orders are matched for the purpose of profit/loss is going to depend upon how the backend accounting system does it. The exchange does not play a role in that.
