Hello, Yes, our favorite IB brings me yet another question for you. Sorry... I set up two different IB TWS accounts with two different API port numbers, 7496 and 7495. When I bring up the sub instance of SC, it goes to the first IB account on 7496. How can I get the sub instance to address the second IB account with port number 2495? I looked thru the documentation and Global Settings in SC but didn't see anything on that. thank you |

You just need a completely separate instance of Sierra Chart as explained here: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time Not a sub instance. You then configure each instance as you require and to use Interactive Brokers with different port numbers. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thank you, I figured it was something along those lines. Can I copy the contents of the existing SC folder to a new folder named "Sierra Charts 2" and then simply change the SC API port number to match the TWS port number or do I have to do a new download and installation? If I have to do a new download and installation, can I copy the Data folder from the original SC that has all my charts and setups in it to the new folder? |
