Here is the scenario: I have added a Study/Price Overlay Subgraph of a chart (in this case it's a 1-minute chart of the ES mini). The main chart contains a 1-minute of VIX Then I added an RSI applied to the Study/Price Overlay Subgraph. The problem: When selecting the input data for the RSI (Input Value), I do not get an option to select the last price. Is there a way to select the "last price" or an alternative to it? See attached for reference. Thanks so much |

Based upon the Inputs we see in the screenshot, you must not be overlaying the main price graph using the Study/Price Overlay study. Make sure you are overlaying the main price graph.

Thanks for the response. However, I can confirm I'm overlaying the main price graph within the Study/Price Overlay. You can recreate this by: 1. Create a new chart of the VIX 2. Use the Study/Price overlay of the ES-Mini (select Main Price Graph) 3. Add an RSI applied to the overlay study of the ES-mini. 4. Select the overlay Under the "Based On" pull down menu of the RSI study settings. Now you will notice that the "Input Data" do not contain Values for the price close or last price. I only see options related to delta volume. Is there an optional way to achieve this? Thanks |

In your Study/Price Overlay study you have entered Short Name values for each of the subgraphs. This is why the names are showing up different from what is expected. If you erase the information in the Short Name field, you will see what is expected, including the Last value as SG4. Refer to the following information for the Short Name: Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Short Name Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
