This may be a very stupid question, but here goes. I'm a little confused on the symbol limits and how exactly they work. I am trading through the IB trading service and I have full CME with market depth data both through IB and the Sierra Data Feed. I have multiple chartbooks with around 35 individual symbols (however, each chartbook has bet 4-8 different symbols depending on the asset class energy having 4 for example). I also have equity data as well. What I'm trying to understand is if I subscribe to Sierra's equity data feed how will it interact with IB? Since IB only allows 100 symbols at a time and with Sierra using the IB symbol format for futures, how would this work? I get that with futures I have to use the IB symbol format, but what about equities? In a nutshell, my IB watchlist currently has around 96 symbols so I am pushing the limit there. If you wouldn't explaining how I could subscribe to the Sierra Feed without a conflict I would greatly appreciate. Also are NYSE/Arca/Amex indices no longer available? For example the $XAX, $XAL or $BTK, if they are how do you get them? Thanks, |

As you have the Sierra Chart Real-Time and Historical Exchange Data Feed, then the relevant Symbol Limit is set here: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ExchangeDataFeedFeatures#DataConnections Refer to the Symbol Limits documentation here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#SymbolLimits Refer to the Cash Indexes section here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#CashIndexes Sierra Chart Support |

The available indices are listed here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChart_RealTime_And_Historical_Symbols.php&SymbolsPage=Indices If you see a particular index on that page but not listed in Sierra Chart, let us know. I'm confused, if IB doesn't have the indices then I can't use the Sierra feed? For example I'm trying to pull up the $DSHB (Dow Jones Home Construction Index) it is not available at IB and I'm connected to IB through Sierra. I can't pull up that symbol (even tried to use the IB symbol format).

Yes you can use Sierra Chart for that index but we probably have to add it to the symbol list if it is not already there. We are checking on that now.

I can send a list of the symbols I’m looking for. Would that be more helpful?
