When using the 'Hide' function by right-clicking the chart header and selecting 'Hide', it does not hide all elements of a study. For example, using a Time Line study with custom label text, it hides the line but not the text. This is the same for ZigZag study - it hides the zigzag line but not any text (if displayed). You must go to the Study Window and hit 'Apply' to properly hide the study, even though the box for 'Hide' option is already checked.

Yes this is true in some cases. This will not change because that shortcut command is designed for efficiency.

How is it efficient if it doesn't actually work and requires one to use the long method? It either should work or not exist, otherwise whats the purpose if it works some of the time?

This is because you are using that command for studies that are adding what are called chart drawings and those require a full recalculation of the study to actually remove them.

And to say that the command should not exist when you have a handful of studies that cannot fully be hidden with that command, is not valid. Simply do not use that particular study hide command in those cases. That is all.

What you need to do after hiding a study through the right-click shortcut menu on the region data line that uses Chart Drawings which are not hidden is to select Chart>> Recalculate after. We will update the documentation in this regard.
