If I did not subscribe to an exchange at all, what functionality would I get for the SC Exchange Data Feed at $35?

You would have access to the Historical and Non-Streaming Intraday Data. You will find the information on what you have access to here: Sierra Chart Historical Data Service For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hello John, I noticed that sometimes historical data is not loading until I establish connection to my broker, even though I have subscription to SC Historical/Real Time feed. I have configuration for Interactive Brokers and can't do anything under Sierra when their systems are down for maintenance on weekends. I wonder if I have something missing in my Sierra config. What would be ideal is to File >> Disconnect from Interactive Brokers and just do homework relying on Sierra feed PS My Interactive Brokers has checkmark enabling "Allow support for Sierra Chart data feeds" Thanks and best regards |

Yes this is going to be the case. You really just have to use the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service separately: Sierra Chart Historical Data Service Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thanks John for very quick response. Just to confirm, please. Should I use different connection during weekends? In other words, select "SC Data-All services" instead of "Interactive Brokers" from dropdown of Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings? I'm using Interactive Brokers and proposed setup isn't working as I expected. There is a difference between Sierra Historical Feed and IB in symbols. For example, current ES contract is ESM19 in Sierra and ES-201906-GLOBEX under IB. So, I tried to set Chart Settings >> Symbol to ESM19 and Chart Settings >> Trade and Current Quote Symbol to ES-201906-GLOBEX with "Use as trade only symbol" enabled checkmark. I switched my Data/Trade Service to "SC Data - All services" and fair enough, Sierra pulled new data file ESM19.scid and switched title of the chart to ESM19/ES-201906-GLOBEX . The issue now is that I can't place trades as IB is not my active service anymore. And if I switch back to IB as my trade service with "Allow support for Sierra chart data feed", then I'm back at square one on weekends when IB system is down. Perhaps, I'm doing something wrong here. Could you please help? Thanks again and best regards Date Time Of Last Edit: 2019-04-25 16:33:40

Yes you can do that but understand the symbols are different between services. Refer to: Data/Trading Service Connection and Symbol Issues: 1.3. Symbols So it would be best to just install another copy of Sierra Chart to use that service: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Is it necessary to still pay for SC Chart Historical Data Service if I want to a subscribe to a supported exchange for realtime trading? Assuming all I want to do is trade one symbol and do not need "...Historical and Non-Streaming Intraday Data."

You still do need to activate a real-time connection if that is what you are referring to.

Can the SC Exchange Datafeed be used on other trading platforms like NinjaTrader or Multicharts ? (supposing the SC software is not purchased)

No, you really do need a subscription to Sierra Chart as well.
