Is there a way to hide the currently active candle? I only want to see completed candle formations so for instance on a 30 minute chart I don't care for where price is at or what the currently forming candle looks like. The most current price is too distracting so I only want to act on the completed structure and not randomly flapping distraction at the end of the chart. Thanks. |

To do this would require a custom study that just copies the bar except the last bar.

I did this a while back but now I cant remember how to do it again. Ive lost that study. Can you think of any way of achieving this? Hiding the currently forming candle and only show it when it completes?

For inspiration: tomgilb You could use the Color Bar Based On Alert Condition study with this formula on the Alerts tab: =C[1]=0 and set the color to the same as your chart background. Hide last current candlestick bar Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-02-25 10:48:19

=C[1]=0 This formula is not working for me anymore. It no longer hides the last bar. |

SC changed something. You now must use an additional instance of the color bar study to return where C[1] equals 0. Try this: 1st instance formula: =C[1] (Hide this instance) 2nd instance formula: =ID1.SG1=0 where the 1st instance is ID1. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-04-27 14:39:18
