can anyone explain why u just delete some functions from ACSIL so that when we upgrade, it will all get messed up? i am really getting tired of this |

They have been renamed. Refer to the current names here: sc.GetPersistentIntFromChartStudy() Will make sure the What is New page explains this. They were actually renamed about a year ago, but we add preprocessor defines to translate the old names and those defines were recently removed. And also you imply that somehow this has happened before. Functions do not get removed. That never happens. It just never happens. Sometimes they get renamed but they are always documented on the What is New page but in this case that was an oversight. sc.SetACSToolToolTip(); since v.1865 or so with no any notices and no definitions at all or it was done 3 or more years ago? so the fact is and yes, some old time users felt uncomfortable with it

Hi SC Engineering, Is it an option for you to run a support thread on anything that gets renamed in ACSIL? That way developers can follow that thread and get a notification on these changes. Easier for you to deal with any support questions like this as well. Thanks, Frederik |
