They have been renamed. Refer to the current names here: sc.GetPersistentIntFromChartStudy() Will make sure the What is New page explains this. They were actually renamed about a year ago, but we add preprocessor defines to translate the old names and those defines were recently removed. And also you imply that somehow this has happened before. Functions do not get removed. That never happens. It just never happens. Sometimes they get renamed but they are always documented on the What is New page but in this case that was an oversight. And if you post that kind of subject line again we are going to delete your post. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. You may not have been aware of the subject line which was used originally. We changed it. And when we do renaming, we put a notice in What is New about that, and add a preprocessor define to support the old name for about 1 to 3 years. SC Support fyi: https://futures.io/sierra-chart/26630-hide-show-studies-buttons-study-5.html so looks like you've replaced ... sc.SetACSToolButtonText();
sc.SetACSToolToolTip(); since v.1865 or so with no any notices and no definitions at all or it was done 3 or more years ago? so the fact is and yes, some old time users felt uncomfortable with it
no need to beat us at all

yes, but it isnĀ“t difficult. Create own header file and into this file insert the function mentioned above. Source and inspiration is in studies7.cpp ...but you probably know it, I understand what do you meant. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2019-03-02 12:45:38

Hi SC Engineering, Is it an option for you to run a support thread on anything that gets renamed in ACSIL? That way developers can follow that thread and get a notification on these changes. Easier for you to deal with any support questions like this as well. Thanks, Frederik |
