Hello, I'd like to be able to change chart time frames without having to reload the entire chart history. For example, I have a 4hr continuous contract /ES chart for a 5000 day period of time. I'd like to change that chart to a smaller time frame without having to wait the 2-3 minutes it takes to reload the entire 5000 day period. So, if select 30 minute time frame, is there a way to set it so it only loads 90 days of data? Or, is there any other way to speed change of time frames within a chart that has a long history? Thank you, Mike Beck |

To improve the speed of loading data, refer to this particular section: Changing Chart Bars Period: Improving Performance of Loading Chart Data Also refer to this particular setting: Chart Settings: Adjust Proportional With Bar Period (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Load Data Limiting Method: Days to Load menu) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thank you for the quick response. Ultimately, the fix ended up being checking the box next to "adjust proportional with bar period." Thank you |
