Daily Loss management

I am attempting to use the Daily Loss management system. I have it set to flatten @ -1000, however today, I just saw that it exceeded the set amount by a wide margin
"Loss management: Daily Net P/L = -1460.00. Loss value of -1000.00 has been met. Flattening positions now for Trade Account Sim1 | Symbol: (unset) | TradeAccount: Sim1 | 2019-01-14 10:45:11"

Can you advise why the system didn't trigger the flatten when price was at -1000 loss? Is there something else that needs to be done?

It really is hard to say without a lot of close analysis and that is is very difficult after the fact and we cannot be aware everything that was happening. There could be several reasons.

Were there any charts that were replaying at the time? This can cause a problem.

No, there were no charts replaying. Is there a way to download activity so I can send that? Would that help?

We cannot spend the time analyzing this. There is a lot of complexity in this and there is some additional code review we are going to be doing in the next couple of weeks but we cannot be analyzing specific cases. The documentation for this feature explains that this functionality may not always work as expected and links to relevant documentation about it.

Another thing to consider is that the Daily Profit/Loss could change significantly due to the daily reset:
Trade Activity Log: Understanding Daily Trade Statistics Reset Time

Anyway, it is an active task of ours to do further review of the global profit/loss management. And perhaps go back to a central reset time or maybe do not even use a reset because the resetting concept is inherently a difficult concept to implement reliably.

We did find a problem and it has been resolved. Update to the latest prerelease following the instructions here:

This is a recent issue which arose when there was some enhancements made with tracking the global profit/loss values.
