I am looking at daily BTCUSD chart. new daily bar started at 8 pm EST from Mt Gox. The prices in Sierra show:

2013/11/09, 355.0636, 395, 340, 367.8, 492796624, 17594
2013/11/10, 365.12, 372.5, 305, 336, 160956329, 4087

yet, today's (for 11/10, though it's still 11/9 right now) new bar shows high of 395 on chart, just like yesterday.

This is because the Daily bars have session times that go from 0:00 to 23:59:59 GMT and the current daily high and low data from MTGox uses some other times. So there is a mismatch.

If we know when the daily high and low reset from MTGox, then it is possible for us to solve this with not too much effort.

This is something we have not looked into so we do not know when they start a new session.

clark moody appears to use 8 pm EST. always assumed that came from Gox, but maybe they just picked that #.

daily bars based on intraday, plot things correctly. I tend to prefer midnight, local.

its just the so-called historical daily that shows some issues.

also, when switching between 1 D, and e.g. 60 M, message log pops up, consistently:

We are monitoring the MTGox data feed to see when the daily high and low reset.

These out of order timestamps are from MTGox and we have added a filter for them going forward. If you update to the latest Sierra Chart version and re-download all the data in the chart(Edit >> Delete All Data and Download) you should no longer get those messages.

Hi, I still get these messages on 1045.

In addition, whereas previous, a 1440 M chart would approximate a daily chart, it is now inserting an extra bar or two during the midnight rollover:

Historical daily is somewhat strange, too. It seems to roll the last several days into the most recent bar.

You will still get at least one out of order timestamp message and this is explained at the bottom of this page here:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails63.html#SundayMorningTrading

The 1 Day Intraday chart looks good to us. Try re-downloading all the data in the chart through the Edit menu.

In Historical Daily charts, Sunday and Monday are merged together because our users have requested that. And the most recent bar will have a date according to the current GMT time.

I was just about to post my experience with 1047.

1 D looks ok now. not sure why Sun/Mon. are merged. It's a 24/7 market.

1440 M should look similar, but alas, it is still the same as previous post.

timestamps are filtered now correctly.

thanks.
