Hi SC team,

Is it possible to get sc.TradingIsLocked as writable variable in ACSIL. Would liek to write a study that locks trading at certain times.

Kind regards,
Frederik

We could but we think it becomes a safety issue if it is controllable through a study.

Also the implementation of this is really not very easy. Especially being more than one study could alter it.

I see. The safety issue there.
Maybe this could be another variable altogether. Locking by study and only unlocking through the user. If this is an option the user has turned on somewhere.
Not sure if that is something that can be considered.

Do you mean an option to allow a study to unlock trading?

No. As that could be a possible safety issue.
What I mean is there is a general SC setting that the user must allow, allow study to lock trading.
With that setting on, a custom study can lock trading.
A custom study can not unlock it. Unlocking needs to be done by the user. That would be a conscious decision.

In the next release locking and unlocking trading by ACSIL will be supported. There is going to be a new function for this.

Refer to this ACSIL function:
sc.SetTradingLockState()

Is there an ASCIL variable for detecting whether or not the current state is locked?

The title of the thread is a clue, sc.TradingIsLocked.
