Using the Daily pivot point study, Midtrading day today My pivots are incorrect by 2 pts apx. I am referencing an accurate daily chart when this error occurs. If I manually enter the O-H-L-C for yesterdays daily bar (using data from my daily chart)into the study then the pivots are correct. I tested manual entry using todays daily bar (day not complete), this also yields the Pivots that are in error. Thus the Pivot study is using the last still-forming bar for the OHLC data. I assumed the pivot study would use yesterdays official closed daily bar. Using todays bar is not what I expected. Any help appreciated Regards |

Refer to the following help topic: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails65.html Re-download the data in the Historical daily chart being referenced by selecting Edit >>Delete All Data and Download. Also check the Pivot Points formula being used. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. I did the delete and download just now. No difference in pivot calc. I had already checked the accuracy of yesterdays daily bar against MyPivots site. The formula selected makes only a minor difference and as I said the calculation is correct if I manually input yesterdays daily OHLC.

Not sure. We would have to test your Chartbook and see. Might be a good idea to wait until the next trading day and still see if you see the problem. To provide us a Chartbook, it should only contain 2 charts that are being used. Follow these instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile Also try re-downloading the last few days of data in the Intraday chart itself . Let us know if you need instructions for this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
