Hi staff, I am returnig old customer primarily focused on currency markets. I used SC a couple of years ago for a few months and generally I really appreciated the platfom but I have not renewed because of some lack of functions using the TPO profile charts that I use extensively. Now I'm in trial period to check what is changed in last 2 years. I'm planning to go with a 6 or 12 months subscription (whatever will be your answers) but I need to know for every point if the following basic features are already implemented (and I don't find how to setup them as desired), or if already planned and will be implemented in a near future, or probably implemented or never implemented, so I can realize if it's better to me switch to other TPO specific platform. Custom programming option it's not a solution. 1 - TPO, Complete profile and splitted profile at the same time (img TPO_01). Absolutely a must have for an effective use of TPO profiles. 2 - TPO, Sessions (img TPO_02). As a forex trader I desperately need more than 2 sessions. In the image you can see 5 sessions of the same day that actually me, and most others, use on forex. I know that is probably a great programming effort but it's a great features for an effective use of TPO profiles on currency markets. Using the manual splitting it's absolutely not a viable solution. 3 - TPO and VbP studies side by side (img TPO_03) - Is it possible to add an option to place VbP on the left like in the image? 4 - TPO, cumulative profile - When I request for example a 15 days uniqe cumulative profile, SC consider them as calendar days and not as trading days, it's not really useful. In VbP study there is an option to avoid calculation of empty days (auto-skip empty days) and would be very useful to add same option to TPO profile study too. 5 - TPO, Highlight Sub Period Midpoint - Is it possible to add an option to view the Sub Period Midpoint on splitted profile only? That's because the collapsed profile became messy and not so useful to view them on it too. 6 - TPO, Highlight Close of each new Sub Period - Same request here, option to view sub period close only on splitted profile Thank you. Well, not too far, even if some of these changes have been requested several times by other users in recent months. However, it is good that requests could be taken into consideration. If it can serve to further accelerate the process, I would like to put my requests in order of preference: 2,1,4,5,6,3 Thank you, waiting for the magic happens ;) |

Number 1 is very useful indeed and has been requested by many for some time. Number 2 would be very useful too. The rest is more personql preferences I guess but could be good too for sure. |

I agree and would also like to see the functions described above in the original post added. In addition a function added so you could with one click split all the periods in a profile. They way it is set up now you have to split each period individually.

+1 for OP post. These would make the TPO function of SC a more complete (and marketable) product. nice to have such a productive userbase ;) |

Dear Sierra, Another Key-Missing-Feature for Market Profile Charts: Function: Split & Merge on Symbol-Change Problem description: 1. i merge the profiles together for e.g. FGBL 2. after that i change the symbol to another one e.g. FDAX 3. the profiles are still merged for the FGBL which is wrong. So I have to reset TPO again and start over for the FDAX and then the FGBL merges are getting lost... Stuck in a dead lock... Request: It should be possible to set this somewhere, to behave independently of the symbol and it also should remained stored, after symbol change. Thanks & Best regards. Regarding post #15, we will be finishing up the remaining items, over the next 2 to 4 weeks. Regarding post #16, the best we can do is just perform a reset of the TPO chart on a symbol change. Dear Sierra, Thank you for your Feedback. 1.) Regarding to post #16: If That means that this reset will happen every time, I change a Symbol, then I would rather not to have this implemented. 2.) Much needed function for the TPO-Chart would be Session highlighting, native integrated into the TPO. As workaround I am using the Study “Time Range Highlight - Transparent “, one for RTH-Session, one for the Evening Session. But as soon as I split the TPO-Profile the studies wont work correctly anymore (because they are not native supported in the TPO-chart) and then I need to manually Recalculate the chart to display the Highlighting of the two sessions correctly again. Could this be implemented as Subgraphs native in the TPO-Study? 3.) If you are working on TPO charts. I have a post here which was first commented, but then stayed open: Automatically set Session Times when switching Symbols via the Quoteboard Thanks. Cant see anything in whats new page re v2182 1. Right click on the profile. There is an option to have the profile closed and open side by side 2. see the settings --> new statistics 3. see other settings: total tpo count, align with volume profile... Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-10-14 18:13:11

b) It is already supported to display separate TPO profiles for two separate sessions and each can be colored differently. Refer to:Regarding Post #19 - Point 2.) --> The TPO-Chart native Session highlighting, would be also much needed Time Price Opportunity (TPO) Profile Charts: Displaying Separate Profiles for Day and Evening Sessions Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Hi Sierra, Regarding Post #24 Thank you for your Response. I am aware of the Settings that you mention, but these settings unfortunately don’t work for the Purpose I was Asking. Maybe I am doing something wrong or there is a bug. Please see below. My Settings for the Test are: a) ln:26 (Set New Period at Day Session Start When Using Evening Session Input) Input: Yes b) Ln:17: TPO Letter/Block Colors Input: Separate Colors for Day and Evening Sessions. c) Subgrapgh SG13 https://up.picr.de/39651517as.png d) Session Times: TimeZone +1 CET (Europe, Germany) – for the Eurex Exchange https://up.picr.de/39651748gr.png e) And I get the following result: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1602751676455.png As you can see there is no clear difference in the colouring, between the overnight session and the RTH-session. Yellow is in both Sessions. Brown is not displayed at all. Is this an Error? I Just want a clear different colouring between the sessions. I would want something like this: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1602751788220.png Even better would be like this (LN26 set to NO): Here there is clear marking between the Sessions. Also achieved with Study “Time Range Highlight - Transparent “ 1. Pre-RTH-Session (overnight) from 00:00:00 till 08:59:59 2. RTH – Regular Trading Hours of the Exchange from 09:00:00 till 17:29:59 3. After-RTH-Session (overnight) from 17:30:00 till 00:00:00 http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1602753080444.png Thanks in advance. Best regards M |
