After downloading latest version of SC, TWS will not connect. Message comes "Is TWS software running and enabled for socket clients." All worked fine prior to new download.

You need to set the Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service Setting >>Server Address and Port to: 127.0.0.1:7496 Notice how there is just one : character.
