When running a replay on All Charts in Chartbook, the Replay/Back Test trade data (i.e. Trade Statistics and Trades info) is only being cleared for the chart that I start the replay on and not for the symbols that are on the other charts. For example, my chartbook has two charts, first one for the ES and the second for the NQ. If I start a reply with All Charts in Chartbook and the Mode set to Accurate Trading System back Test on the ES chart, the ES data is cleared and not the NQ. If I switch to the NQ chart and rerun the replay, the NQ data is cleared and not the ES. Is there something I need to set when running a replay for all charts to have all data for symbols in all charts cleared? |

This is not supported and this is the first time anyone has asked about this. Really for now just manually clear the trading data you need according to the instructions here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TradeActivityLog.php#ClearingTradeActivityData Or you might want to use this command first: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TradeMenu.html#ClearTradeSimulationData But this is going to clear Simulated data for all Symbols and Trade Accounts. Thanks for letting me know and providing the links. What is the logic behind clearing the data of only one chart and leaving the data for the other charts when running a replay on All Charts in Chartbook? While one can clear the data manually, it's a lot of extra work when running numerous back tests. I think it would be nice and consistent for SC to clear the data for all charts not just one. |

The answer is because it makes no sense and is considered very unsafe to be doing that automatically. The controlling chart is going to be the chart which is doing the trading and usually referencing other charts. It is not expected that other charts are also trading.
