Could you enable the following function for easy switch between the pitchfork types? Enable right click on drawn pitchfork tool to change the pitchfork type via the chart drawing menu. |

This is not something that we would do and Sierra Chart already has a method to do this but we just need to check the documentation and get it to you. We will get back to you today or tomorrow.

Yes we did look into this and we realize that it is not supported to change the Pitchfork drawing type by using Control Bar buttons which we were going to suggest. Enable right click on drawn pitchfork tool to change the pitchfork type via the
chart drawing menu. What happens when you right click on a drawn pitchfork, then click on chart drawing properties, then the options tab? You should be able to select or change the type of pitchfork there, and view it on the chart before finalizing your choice. |

yes but that's 2 extra steps vs right click(on a drawn pitchfork) and being able to change to a different pitchfork type (via the chart drawing menu.) hence my request ------ or right click (on a drawn pitchfork) and change to a different pitchfork type with a keyboard shortcut |

This was a question/thought that I have had also. I like the tool configurations (TC): https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/Tools.html&CAID=default#UsingMultipleDrawingToolConfigurations However, the Pitchfork Type that is shown on the Options tab is not saved with any of the TC quick load settings. Is this something that could easily be added to the tool configuration save/load methods? I think a lot of people use pitchforks and they sometimes need to switch while not redrawing a new Andrews, Schiff, or Modified Schiff. Would love to see if it's possible to get that menu included in the tool configurations methods. Thank you. |

Another thought... If someday the SierraChart drawing tools could be given a heads-up display or a floating (non-blocking) properties window, it might be easier to offer quick customized rules for each drawing tool. For example, in Word 2013 they had added a mini-toolbar that appears is transparent after selecting some text. It becomes a solid color if you then hover your mouse over it. If SierraChart were to offer a similar floating mini-toolbar that is custom for each drawing object, that might be nice. Another thought is to have floating/dockable properties windows. These are nice because the user can allocate some space on his desktop and the properties window remains there and changes its contents with each object selected. No need to right-click or use a control key to check the settings, you have them right there for quick use during trading. Or implement both ideas (and keep what we have today) so it works for a wider range of users... |
