Hi, Can the spreadsheets do the following: 1- store the price chart bar's index/time stamp where a given study generated a specific signal...for e.g store the index where a pair of MA's crossed? I want to use this stored index/time value to compare it against another stored index captured from another study subgraph so i can implement more advanced trading logic. 2- create user defined variables to serve as logic flags or intermediate calculation data storage. thanks |

1- Yes, and this done in a Formula Column on a spreadsheet study's sheet where the persistent variable is repeated so that it appears in row 3. Here are some examples of persistent variables on a spreadsheet study's sheet: Spreadsheet Example Formulas and Usage: Persistent and Incrementing Variables 2- Yes, if the persistent variable can be created in a Formula Column of a spreadsheet study's sheet. |

These programming methods are less easily and reliably accomplished with Spreadsheets. We recommend using ACSIL instead: Advanced Custom Study Interface and Language (ACSIL) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
