Hello, in the trade window up top it says "SimpleBracket" I have one stop order set with no target, I have ticked the box that says "Use server side bracket orders (if supported)" under Trade>>General Trade Settings.

I'm also using CQG for my feed, is this all that is required to enable the feature of server side stop orders?

Thank you.

That Stop order only gets transmitted to the server and to the exchange at the time the parent order fills. Use Server-side Bracket Orders is irrelevant here and is not supported with CQG anymore anyway.

The parent order for me fills immediately as I use market orders, does this make sense?

I am a quick scalper so I think you are mistaken in this context, I see you say server side bracket orders are no longer supported with CQG where as my broker states that they are.

I have emailed CQG.

Therefore in this case the Stop order does get transmitted immediately after the parent market order fills and will be working at the exchange.

CQG cannot help you with this. They are not going to understand how this works within Sierra Chart.

where as my broker states that they are.
They will not know as well as we do about this. What we say here is always going to be the definitive truth in this regard. No one else is going to know.

I agree with said statements on working orders.

As for CQG, Sierra Chart can support server side orders as an option, isn't it just down to the data feed? I do not feel CQG would need to understand the ins and outs of this software as we know within Sierra Chart itself everything is affirmative for support of server side orders, so long as said box is checked, it is just down to the data feed.

I could be wrong but I believe this may be how it all works, as stated I have heard from my broker that server side bracket orders are supported on CQGFIXtrading while Sierra Chart has stated it is not supported, I acknowledge both sides information and will await word from CQG.

Personal note: If it is not supported switch feeds as this is essential.

THANK YOU SC.

If you are sure as you say, I would really appreciate knowing which common feeds DO support server side orders.

There is no service Sierra Chart supports which can support this server-side previous to when the parent order fills:

Thanks for that piece of info, in this case it is post entry and not pre entry that I require the functionality, as stated I enter the market using only market orders so parent orders are instantly filled in this particular instance.

The reason I want this feature is for my stop loss to be server side should I lose internet connection after I have entered my position, which will be entered upon on a market order every time. (in this instance)

I would still like information on which feed/s can support this if it isn't supported by CQG as you have stated.

Thank you.

Yes this is going to be the case. This has always been the case and there is nothing special to do. There are no options to enable or disable this . This is inherently the case. It is supported with Trading services.
