Hello guys I have 2 questions:

1 - Is there a way I can show/ hide the order arrows on the chart so they do not clutter the chart when trading but at the end of the day I can see all opening and closings of positions?

2 - With the Chart Calculator tool it is appearing to represent pips (spot fx) as a decimal. eg. 5 pips as 0.0005. Is it possible to move the decimal point so that it is simply displayed as 5?

Thanks

1. This is explained here:
Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Displaying Order Fills on the Chart

You just need to uncheck Trade >> Show Order Fills.

2. What particular value are you referring to with the Chart Calculator tool?

Another option for the Chart Calculator is to enable Tick Difference, which will give you the difference in Ticks.

Ok, thanks for the clarification John. Is this something we could get integrated into SC in the near future? Should be very easy to code.

You can get the result you want just by adjusting the Tick Size in the chart:
Chart Settings: Tick Size (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu)

You would want to set it to .0001 to get the result you want.

I have set this, however, it has not changed it to 5pips from 0.0005pips. Does the Price Display Format need to be changed as well ?

This should take care of it, we have tried it ourselves to make sure. Be sure you are using the Difference In Ticks on the Chart Calculator tool.

Attached are two images showing the Chart Calculator Tool displaying the Difference in Ticks (DIT) from before we make a change to the Tick Size from 0.00005 to 0.0001. You should have this same result.

Lovely, thanks John that now works. However, one other problem from doing this has come up. Now my P/L has changed (1/2). Is this just because I am doing it on a demo account? You may want to try it for yourself to see my issue.

Also adjust the Currency Value per Tick to correspond with the Tick Size:
Chart Settings: Currency Value Per Tick (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu)

Sorry guys but this still seems to be wrong. I am +32 pips DlyPL and -2 pips P/L. Not 32000 and -2001. Do you have any ideas what is wrong now? Would be great if 'pips' could be added into the software at next update!

Hi guys, sorry but am still having the same problems. Above in this feed I was told to "make a change to the Tick Size from 0.00005 to 0.0001". However, in the link above it states "In the Forex markets, the Currency Value per Tick setting is usually equal to the Tick Size. For the EURUSD, this is going to be .00005."?? Please advise me on the exact settings I need to have to make this work. Thank you

The Currency Value per Tick as set in the Chart >> Chart Settings window needs to match the Tick Size in the case of when using FXCM.

I have already got Currency Value Per Tick set to 0.0001, Tick Size set to 0.0001 and the Price Display Format set to .0001 but the profit calculations in the Trade Window are wrong

but the profit calculations in the Trade Window are wrong
Refer to step 1 here:
Profit/Loss Calculations and Symbol Settings: Incorrect or Inconsistent Profit/Loss Values

You will want to use the Ticks-Ignore Quantity setting.

This worked perfectly, however the DLYPL is still showing up as previous, where do I change this setting?

We will add support for the Daily Profit/Loss to ignore the quantity in the next release. It is not currently supported. Whether it is going to be logical or not, we are not sure but that is for you to make a determination of.

That'll be good thank you, otherwise it doesnt make sense with the P/L showing e.g. 5 and the DlyPL 5000

I believe this is also linked to the AB diff, so this may need to be changed as well?

No that is totally unrelated if you are referring to Ask Bid Price Difference.

Strange, since making this change my AB diff in the chart header has been stuck to 0.0001?

Any idea why the AB diff is frozen on just one chart? I have tried re-loading it but stays on the 0.0001 but other charts working

Okay that is the difference between the Ask and Bid prices. So apparently the difference is just simply lower than that value and is getting rounded to it.
