Hello, I would like to connect SC to TT FIX (new version, not 7.X). TT says I would need to start a "stunnel" tool locally to establish a tunnel to TT - and then connect SC to 127.0.0.1. https://library.tradingtechnologies.com/tt-fix/Managing_FIX_Sessions.html This is not mentioned in SC's documentation, so I was wondering whether SC could handle the encrypted connection itself. https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TradingTechnologies.php Thank you, Peter |

You need to enable Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service Setting >> Use TLS when the Service is set to TT FIX.

Ok, that works. Is it supported to connect only to TT's FIX Order Routing, but not the "Security Definition/Market Data" server, i.e. get data from SC data feed and submit orders to TT FIX? (It is working, but I see frequent reconnects to TT where SC tries to get Market Data.) Thanks, Peter Date Time Of Last Edit: 2018-10-01 12:28:39

Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed ...meaning my setup with the "Price Session" fields empty and "Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds" enabled is exactly what you would recommend? (assuming I have subscribed to L2 data on SC data feed) Thanks, Peter Date Time Of Last Edit: 2018-10-01 17:20:55

So far, this setup works fine. There is however one issue - being in Europe trading Eurex. SC Realtime data comes currently from US servers, adding some significant, unneeded latency. Are there also servers in Europe to connect to? Any other solution or thought? Thanks, Peter |

Are there also servers in Europe to connect to? The answer is no, and we have no solution because the exchanges are hell-bent on preventing that. They make it uneconomical. Users need to realize how exchanges work very very very very hard to reduce the reliability of market data delivery, with their market data policies.
