I have a horizontal line on chart. I want that if the price goes above it and stays above, there would be an alert sound every tick. So in Drawing Alert settings I enable alerts, untick "alert once per bar" and "Only blink on first bar", choose "last" in the left column and "above" in the right. Seems logical. But I get only one alert per bar! Pls help. |

This is how it works. You are not going to get an alert every tick. Only once after the condition is met. Unless the condition goes back to false and then back to true again.

But the whole idea of an alert is to make sure that the trader does not miss an event for which a sound per bar might be way not enough. I understand I can use a longer sound file, but that is really awkward from the practical point of view to have to listen to a whole symphony every time. So if I might come up with a suggestion to have a sound alert every tick which is logical and safe for trading purposes. Thank you. |

There are also alert messages for Chart Drawings logged in Window >> Show/Hide Alerts Manager >> Alerts Log. We also plan to improve upon it to show a list of all of the alert conditions from studies and Chart drawings that are currently TRUE. If I'm reading the alert's log, it does not make much sense to have an alert sound cause I can see where the price is. For intraday trading you cannot be stuck at the computer screen all the time. So I just draw (in MT4) two lines below and above the price at important levels, and know that until I have a sound, I can stay away from the computer safely. One sound per bar I can miss, but if it goes up every tick, I can't. It's simple, effective, convenient. Please consider adding this feature, it's just so very logical and makes life easy. It's even strange for me how intraday traders can do without it, stare at the screen all the time? Thank you. |

Why don't you configure the Alert definition to send you an email and/or email/text msg to your phone? That way you don't have to be there at the computer for sounds. You have 50+ alert configurations to work with, so there are plenty of combinations for Sound, Sound & Email, Email/Text msg, etc. You can even give each one a user defined name to indicate specific events. |

Don't see how it solves the problem. I'm not walking around the apartment with the phone implanted into the ... :) And I don't need all sorts of alerts, only when the price goes up or down to a level. It's so basic - you do what you want and as soon as there's a sharp persistent sound, you rush to the computer cause a level was reached.
