Trade Activity Log loading takes forever

I often refer to TAL for backtesting and it is frustrating how LONG it can take it to load when on Trade Statistics Tab. Every time I open TAL, and it's on Trade Statistics, it starts refreshing from Top to bottom, and keeps doing it time and time and time again and cannot stop. As I am writing this message, it probably did 30 cycles of loading and is still doing it. It used to be slow before, but not SO slow. I recorded a video of how it's doing it http://youtu.be/h_RBbf0I6H4 Btw, I recently cleared TAL by going to Trade Activity Tab - Edit - Clear, and Cleared history for all Replay/backtest symbols I had. It didn't help at all! |

This is very unusual. We have never seen anything like this and the appearance of the Trade Activity Log in the video does not look right because we do not see the tabs displayed along the top. This does appear to be a system specific issue. Some kind of problem with Windows or the video driver. We are going to re-implement how the information on the Trade Statistics tab is displayed and most likely this will resolve this. The Trade Statistics tab will redraw itself, when new data is added to the Trade Activity tab. With the changes we will make, the redrawing will be extremely fast. Thank you. The only problematic tab is the Trade Statistics, other tabs load fast. The problem with Trade Statistcs is that it hangs the whole Sierra Chart - sometimes for 1 minute, sometimes for 10, and sometimes until you restart SC! But even if SC is restarted, TAL window would appear along with the main window by default, and SC is hung again. |
