Market Statistics Data Feed Interruption 2018-08-09

On 2018-08-09 we had an interruption with our US equities market statistics data feed. It lasted approximately 20 minutes. The issue began at approximately 09:59:00 US Eastern time. The reason for the problem apparently is some kind of an operating system level issue which is causing processes to freeze on the system like as if they are in some sort of deadlock condition. We are going to switch to a different server and also reload the operating system on this particular server. We have never seen such a condition ever before in over 12 years of operation of these services. So we are quite puzzled by it.
