Hi,

I have only been using sierra charts for a couple of months, so far I am liking it however I am struggling to know for sure if I am set up right for using cumulative delta bars and volume profile.

I have tried figuring it out my self, from your support pages it seems like DATA related questions are quite annoying for SC.

Please can you advise if the data I am receiving is correct for the delta and profile.

Thanks in advance

The most important thing is that Sierra Chart is set for a tick by tick data configuration.

Set Sierra Chart to a Tick by Tick Data Configuration. Follow the instructions here to do this:
Tick by Tick Data Configuration

And if you tell us that one of the symbols you are using with the Cumulative Delta Bars study, we can tell you if that symbol would have proper data for this.

In the case of a cash Forex symbol, the Cumulative Delta Bars studies are not really completely accurate because there is not true trading volume.

You really have to use your judgment on the extent you put reliance on the study.

Hi,

This is why I had my doubts. So now I need to get volume data without a futures account. Does the real time and historical forex/cfd data service provide true volume.

Basically I need to know which would be the most cost affective way of getting real time volume I don't want to make the mistake of paying more than I need to.

Thanks

No, it does not.

There is no cost-effective way to obtain real-time futures data without a trading account. Forex futures primarily trade on the CME and the fee is 110USD a month plus the cost of the data feed for 25 USD/Month.
