What i want to do is replace the .cht files from one computer onto another, and load them without restarting sierra chart. Is this possible, programatically or through a menu option?

You can certainly use external file copy programs to copy the Chartbook files from one computer to another. To cause them to automatically load, you can use ACSIL for that: sc.OpenChartbook() Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. that's interesting. If the chartbook is already opened, would it reload the drawings based on the new chartbook? As a quick test, i did the following: 1. Open up a chart book. 2. Replace the chartbook with another chartbook that has additional drawings. 3. Went to the File menu and opened the new, overridden cht file. But no new drawings were loaded. I had to close the chartbook and reopen it before the new drawings would show. Anyway to load the new drawings without closing the chartbook first? |
