you wrote to me Sky, Your conclusions are completely incorrect. We welcome you to take your business elsewhere. Some bugs we cannot fix. This is clearly explained in help topic 76: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails76.html Furthermore, we are even increasing the use of separate programs with the use of bridge programs to connect to external data and trading services. We have done this with Rithmic, and TransAct. All new Data and Trading services will now be interfaced through separate process bridge programs. Google Chrome, uses a separate process for every single browser tab for the purpose of stability and to distribute the processing on other cpu cores. Sierra Chart is simply utilizing the very same design. So you think Google is stupid? Welcome you to an open open debate with Google engineers. ... and ran away like rabbits (by locking the thread ) - so let me answer and have enough respect and maturity to study what you don't understand Your conclusions are completely incorrect. this is what you say and it doesn't mean you are right. by sending slogans you make yourself fool. if you have anything to the point i'm ready to debate and if i'm wrong I will be the first one to say that. at the mean time I have explained why i'm right and you said nothing except slogans. you write that you have bugs you don't know how to fix (which means your software design is awful and you allow yourself telling me i'm completely incorrect ? do you own a brain of yourself ? We welcome you to take your business elsewhere. I'm not going anywhere ... this is my home platform. I will tell you exactly what I thing and if you have a certain level of integrity you will listen and study only fools enforce their methods as they are unable to cope w/ different concepts/thinking. beyond being a senior very experienced w. very wide and deep knowledge of many technologies i'm an educator and selected SC to be the charting platform in the courses - so i'm spreading the usage of SC. when one feels at home - he should act like at home and try improve. how come you dare thinking kicking me out ? look at the mirror and think about the guy you see there .... Some bugs we cannot fix. This is clearly explained in help topic 76 as one who designed extremely complicated front end technology projects (some of them protect US) I can tell you that all bugs can be fixed. the only bug that can't be fixed is low quality designers that you should send to take their business else where Furthermore, we are even increasing the use of separate programs with the use of bridge programs to connect to external data and trading services. We have done this with Rithmic, and TransAct The fact that you use something doesn't mean it is right. it just means you prefer bypassing the problem and correct it by adding external facilities. If your software design was of quality you should have no problem making any modification inside the application. use multiple copies of same application need a very good reason and SC (or trading platforms for sure not the case) It looks to me you are coming from the culture of desktop applications where performance and effective resource utilization is not an issue. i'm coming from the embedded industry where every BYTE is important and every port usage is under test. I suspect this is the main difference between us - and this is why your design looks that way ... All new Data and Trading services will now be interfaced through separate process bridge programs well i'm sorry to understand that you have preferred to run away from the problems rather than solving them Google Chrome, uses a separate process for every single browser tab for the purpose of stability and to distribute the processing on other cpu cores and this is absolutely right as every browser page is independent of each other .... and one more aspect google doesn't ask me to install chrome multiple times on disk .. they are managing the processes dynamically ... what does it have to do w/ a very defined application like SC ? So you think Google is stupid? Welcome you to an open open debate with Google engineers no ... I don't think they are stupid ... but on the other hand it doesn't mean they are smart or the best. in this specific case they are right and SC design (as w/ R Trader and TransAct) is incorrect - in reference w/ using multiple data feeds in this case it looks you are copying w/o thinking or considering whether their design attitude is right for you ... this is a monkey behavior ... well someone did that and that ... who am I to re-consider after his wisdom ... let imitate him ... this is a shame ... not professionalism now you can lock the thread ... I understand that you went to deep into this erroneous solution. I hope you will reconsider and stop making your users waste resources nd waste mony in order to be able to work w/ few data feeds. ... AND DON'T EVER SEND ME ELSEWHERE .... DON'T FORGET THAT !! Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-10-13 08:01:39
