I use SC1750, CQG data. The problem is shown on the following chart: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1527773800476.png This is GC 60 min chart. You can see a gap despite the fact that back adjustment is on. I've reloaded SC, reloaded chart, re-downloaded data - nothing seems to help. |

Make sure this option for the symbol is blank in the Global Settings >> Symbol Settings: Rollover >> Custom Continuous Contract Back Adjustment Amounts Here is the documentation for it: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/GlobalSymbolSettings.php#SymbolSettingsControls And re-download the data for the last two contract months following these instructions here: Continuous Futures Contract Charts: Re-Downloading Continuous Futures Contract Data Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Re-downloading the data for the last TWO contract months helped. Thank you. Is is possible to detect this problems automatically? I mean, if adjustment is ON and there is a gap where rollover occurs, there is something wrong certainly and the problem could be detected (and hopefully fixed by auto re-downloading) without user intervention. I use Sierra Chart for several years, I really liked this platform and got attached to it. However I run into problems with continuous backadjusted charts more and more often recently. It could be really annoying because often I notice price discrepancy (like gap etc) when it becomes too late (in terms of drawings and trading decisions as outcome) or may not notice at all. Any further work in direction of eliminating trader's extra duty of data bug hunting will be appreciated. |
