Hi there, I have installed Windows 10 on my virtual box and installed Sierra chart with the latest version 1727 and for some reason it won't connect. I've disabled the firewall, etc however it still won't connect. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you. |

Sorry I believe I told you wrong, it's that I can't even login to Sierra chart due to a timeout error. I have attached a screenshot. I also tried build 1708 with the same result. https://monosnap.com/file/vuKp9Adp87Z4EEaSKc431CI1PPiMFH |

I managed to find another setting to turn off the Windows firewall which worked for a bit. I then turned the firewall back on to try and add new rules so that I could keep it on for security purposes. However after that, with the firewall off again it still won't work, even with removing the rules I had just added. Very strange. Ideas? |

I believe it's a connection issue as well, it just appears to be with your app. Everything else works fine. No firewall is involved, no proxy, etc. I've tried even to monitor the outgoing network connections and I do not see any attempts even being made by Sierra. Is there a way you can remote in and take a look or a way to look at further sierra logs on possible issues?

There definitively is a network connection made by Sierra Chart. That is with absolute certainty. It is impossible for there to be anything going wrong with that. We are going to see how we can add logging for the initial log in. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
