I'm working with a spreadsheet and i've generated a value based on certain parameters. I'd like to see that value on my chart.

The value is represented as a percentage (%). I'd simply like to display that value from Column O, Row 3 (O3) on my chart.

I thought color bar on alert condition might work by setting Based On: input to my spreadsheet then setting Input 4 to Use Input Data, Input 6 to column O and draw style of the subgraph to Text or Custom Text, but i couldn't seem to make that work.

Suggestions?

The way this is done is through the Spreadsheet Study:

You just need to set the Subgraph for column O to have a visible Draw Style.

Although you will only see the numbers and not the text.

Thank you, but is there a specific draw style i would need to use to plot this value?

I've tried Text and Custom Value at Y, but i'm not seeing the number appear on the chart anywhere.
And i'm assuming to see the value from O3 on the chart.

I got it. At least i got it to display, not sure if its the most efficient way, but I was able to use Text Display for Chart. It's not displayed as a percentage however. Is there a way to display the value as a percentage?

You could use this particular Draw Style:
Chart Studies: Value on High (ACSIL: DRAWSTYLE_VALUE_ON_HIGH)

Not sure what you mean by display the value as a percentage. You could add a % to the front of it through the Prefix Text for Display Value Input when using the Text Display for Chart study.

The problem with that approach appears to be that the value is plotted at the value of the value. in other words, my current value is 7.74 and that number is being plotted to the chart at the level of 7.74 while current market level is 6822.

Text Display for Study seems to be working well.
To display the value as a percentage I simply multiplied my value by 100 to get number that can be called a "%", then added the % sign to the Prefix Text for Display Value input.
Crude, but it works.

I've encountered a problem where when I make a draw line in the subgraph area to "skip zeros", it still graphs the zeros when I replay the chart...

Is there a way to fix this?

Edit:

Alright I fixed it nevermind - what was displaying were small negative numbers that I mistook as zeros(!)
