Hello, I have enabled both estimated position in queue enabled and display additional information howerver, I am always getting an estimated position of 1. The only caveat is that I am getting the data feed from another instance of sierra but this should still work correct? Thank you |

We added this to the documentation: The estimated position in queue is supported for orders entered in both Trade Simulation Mode and not when in Trade Simulation Mode.
If there is no Bid or Ask size/quantity data at the particular price level when the order is entered, the estimated position will just be the order quantity itself. This will be the case when there is no market depth data available or when you are entering an order at other than the best Bid or Ask price. It does not matter if you are using the data feed in another instance. The only explanation for the problem would be the above. Check to see that you have market depth data for the price level of the order: File Menu: Open Market Depth Window (File) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Hi, there is an issue because on my other instance that I am getting the data from I have 10 prices both sides and I'm placing limit orders within the 10 prices. The underlying service where I am routing the orders to I don't have 10 prices and only inside market. This is why I thought that this is a problem is related to data coming from another instance because on the main. I still have the same problem even though the data connection is providing the price levels on Dom. What do I do please? thanks |

Based on your description this is not something we can help with. We are declining support for this. It sounds like you are using a nontypical set up which we provide no support for. We simply are not going to get involved in this. We are declining support.

The proper solution is to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed with Interactive Brokers: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. It could also be related to this setting: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/GeneralSettings.html#UseNonChartDataRemoteInstances Also refer to the responses above. I've been through all your communication and it seems that it is a bug. UseNonChartDataRemoteInstances and on the original instance and SIM mode it works fine so how come it doesn't work when you're getting data from another instance? It looks like that you are only supporting current instance data feed on the DOM with regards to this feature? Is this a correct assumption? thank you |

We had said we are declining support for this. You are using this functionality which is out of date and which we provide no support for: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/FileMenu.html#FileFindSymbol_OpenChartFromAnotherInstance Is this a correct assumption? No, this is not true. You need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed And you can start other instances from the main instance and access the data and not have an issue.
