I am wondering if there is a way to set up something for a quick price alert. Like I am waiting for a move/price break so I put a horizontal line there (Configured for an alert) and when the price hits it, you get the alert. Or some simple way to do that? Thanks

The line drawing tool has this capability. If you draw a horizontal line and right click the line, a menu pops up with "Alerts" option. Selecting "Alerts" opens a settings window where you can set the details of the alert.

When I right clicked on the hoz line and picked "alerts" nothing happened. I think I might have thos little balls on the line. No window.

You will need Sierra Chart package 3 or 5 for Chart Drawing alerts. I am wondering if there is a way with this method to have a different alert for if two lines cross one way or another. Like a MACD crossover you may have =CROSSOVER(SG1, SG2) And an alert. Is there a way to delineate which way the crossover is happening? Cross up or cross down? Or just a cross is a cross?

But that has to be used in the worksheet, not the simple alerts, right cause you can only put one thing in there anyway, and that function works in the worksheet? just checking before I do all the work. (This is always a relearning process for "earthlings" like me.)
