I know in regular alerts and Spreadsheets, the value of an open bar (that is not yet closed) cannot be captured. Would this be possible using ACSIL code? I want to reference the *current* (in-flight) value of a bar that is still open on a higher time frame chart. Does ACSIL have any such facility? Thank you. |

I know in regular alerts and Spreadsheets, the value of an open bar (that is not yet closed) cannot be captured. This is not true. We do not know why you come to this conclusion.Would this be possible using ACSIL code? Yes of course. And Simple Alerts and Spreadsheets can do this as well.

Please elaborate; because I'm definitely missing something here. I have gone thru the documentation and all along I've been under the impression that Simple Alerts & Spreadsheets can only capture values of closed bars, not the current bar that is still open. Please point me to the relevant section of documentation. Thank you. |

Clarification: By "open bar", I'm not confining myself to the price (OHLC); I am more interested in the study values at the current bar in the chart. Thank you. |

Oops, never mind. I had the "Evaluate on Bar Close" checked. Sorry about that. |
