ACSIL function for Add Additional Symbol ?

Hi As a user I find great benefit in the new study "Add Additional Symbol" because it reduces the number of charts and overlayed studies I need to open or use. I wonder if it is possible to add a similar mechanism to ACSIL ? A function that will bring the same benefits : having access to another symbol OHLC without having to open new charts or overlays of those charts. -- W. |

We do not understand. You just use the Add Additional Symbol study. And then ACSIL can access the data from those study instances on the chart: ACSIL Programming Concepts: Using or Referencing Study/Indicator Data in an ACSIL Function Also, you must run the very latest prerelease when using Add Additional Symbol. Yes, and this works well but allowing this to be done in a program can help me build more easily complex studies, and maybe more important, updating them more easily.When you have 30 studies and dozens of parameters that rely on other symbols reducing the number of charts and studies is highly useful. The possibility to automatically open/close charts (sc.OpenChartOrGetChartReference) have already helped me a lot. Doing this for the adding of symbol study (or equivalent) will help further in this goal. Last thing : my point is not about adding automatically any kind of study. It is specifically to adding a way to access another symbol base OHLCV data that allows us to concentrate computation related to other markets. It is specifically to adding a way to access another symbol base OHLCV data that allows us to concentrate computation in relation to other markets. Beyond what is available now, there is nothing further we can do. Very simply a chart is necessary or using the Add Additional Symbol study. There is no chance we are going to do anything further. That is totally completely out of the question and not to mention would be impossible anyway.It will be possible at some point to programmatically add studies but not yet.
