When a number of studies are 'chained' to create a study, the final subgraph result will sometimes not appear. The issue appears to be specific to situations in which the data from one study is used as an input by another study whose data is in turn used as an input by another study and so on, as my other studies still plot normally when the issue occurs. To get the disappearing study to plot, I then have to refresh the study by going into the relevant study settings and clicking OK. To recreate this issue, you can use the arithmetic studies (Study Subgraph Add, Subtract, Divide, Multiply etc) to emulate the Synthetic VIX study (i.e. subtract the highest high from last n bars by current bar low, then divide by the highest high from the last n bars, then multiplying by 100). Once you have created the study, reload the chart data by changing the timeframe and the study should disappear. |
